Del Sol Foods Selects Rotary Volumetric for Pourable Dressing (1999)Aug 12, 2010
COVINA, CA – October 11, 1999 – Pacific Packaging Machinery Inc, the leader in custom high speed volumetric liquid packaging fillers, today announced that Del Sol Foods has reached agreement on a 12 station pourable dressing filler. The continuous volumetric filler will be utilized on the Briannas production line within the Brehnam, TX facility.
The Briannas product line includes a wide range of product viscosities that range from the viscous Asiago Caesar, Chipotle Cheddar, Blue Cheese, Poppy Seed Zesty French and Honey Mustard to the less viscous French Vinaigrette and Blush Win Vinaigrette.
As a provider of pourable dressing products, Del Sol Foods has a stringent set of filling criteria that includes: continuous motion, accurate fills without aeration or foaming, clean drip free operation, easy clean-up & changeover, easy to operate with minimum maintenance, and fill speeds up to 120 containers per minute. Del Sol wanted to purchase a single filler that could
meet the criteria for their entire product viscosity range.
Jerry Brown, President of Del Sol Foods, adds, “We were looking for a filling vendor who could handle our wide range of products with a single filler. More importantly, the speed and accuracy of the filler had to apply across our product line without aeration or foaming. Pacific not only meet these requirements but was also the cost effective choice.”
Del Sol Foods selected a custom 12 station rotary volumetric filler with automatic shutoff top fill valves that support 12-ounce containers up to speeds of 120 containers per minute. The filler incorporates Pacific’s exterior vacuum sniffer, which provides for a dripless operation and will be especially arranged for right to left operation.
