  • New Feature
    Automatic
    Turret
    Height
    Adjustment
Our latest filling machines use a new and improved design to raise and lower the filling turret for different container sizes.

While the design on older machines is based on a hydraulic lift unit, the new design is based on an AC motor and clutch and offers the benefits described below.

New Approach: The automatic turret lift system features an AC motor, lube-for-life speed reducer, air-operated safety clutch, reversing contract switch with motor overload relay, motor disconnect and drive sprocket.

     New Feature Photo
The turret height drive shaft unit extends upward through a hollow main spindle. The drive shaft includes a low friction Acme screw and fastener assembly. Rotation of the Acme screw will raise or lower the filling turret.

Unlike the hydraulic approach, the lowering of the filling turret no longer relies on gravity. Instead, it operates on a "pull" approach which is a safe design practice. Similarly, raising the turret uses a "push" approach via the shaft screw action.

The result is a low maintenance system that is less reliant on air and offers safe turret motion with exact precision.

    Announcement
    From the
    Parts
    Order
    Desk
There is a new item from the parts order desk that I'd like to review.

On parts orders placed for air manifolds, you will now need to purchase the fastening band that goes around the manifold. Important Note: Once the band is purchased, you do not need to order one in the future.

The bands are available in either 5" or 7" sizes and cost $65.00.

    Reconditioned Filling Machines
    Short
    Lead-Time
    & Cost
    Savings
From time-to-time, Pacific offers "like-new" reconditioned filling machines. Unfortunately, we do not have any reconditioned equipment at this time.

We do, however, have a few reconditioned frames. The frames are recondition to like-new condition. The top deck is constructed from 304 stainless steel. The lower frame is steel with multiple coats of Steel-It paint.

If this arrangement is feasible for your new filling machine configuration, we offer a $7,500.00 discount.

For more information and pricing, contact Pete Carpino at (949) 369-2494 or information@pacificpak.com.

    Technical Tip
    Recommended
    Air
    Pressure
    Settings
Maintaining the recommended air pressure settings is important to ensure proper filling operation.

The machine must always be supplied with 80 to 100 PSI of clean, dry air with approximately 10 CFM

While our newer machines utilize less air, we have included a complete list of the various air requirements below:
     Technical Tip Photo
    1. Pump Clutch (Older Machines): 70 PSI
    2. Air Safety Switches (Older Machines): 50 PSI
    3. Turret Height Adjustment System: 50 PSI
    4. Air Manifold for Filling Valves: 25 to 30 PSI
    5. Vacuum System for No-Drip Product Removal: 60 PSI
